Mission

CAIN's purpose is to enable dialogue at the national level among nurses involved in global health, and to provide educational and instrumental support to Canadian nurses involved in international health, thereby contributing value driven quality nursing care and nursing capacity to global health initiatives.

 Our Objectives

*     To define Canadian professional nursing practice at the international level (for international partners), and to guide and support Canadian professional nursing practice at the international level (for Canadian nurses).

*       To provide sharing and coordination of knowledge and resources pertaining to international health and nursing in the global context.
 
*       To promote connectivity with other related domestic and international organizations, including schools of nursing and national nursing associations, with a focus on preparatory resources, capacity building, partnerships, basic and continuing nursing education.
 
*     To encourage nurses to participate in the promotion of global health and equity.
 
*      To serve as a communication network by means of a regularly updated website and periodic newsletter with current events in global health, educational material, resources and emerging opportunities.
 
*    To enable a national database/repository of Canadian R.N. international nursing projects.  
 
*     To regularly evaluate the Association’s Mission, Vision and Values for continued relevance and meaning for the Association and its members.
